We are pleased to offer this EXTREMELY RARE FISH PLATE by Blanchère Henry de la. Paris, Delagrave, 1868. This superb chromolithograph plate has been finely hand finished by Mesnel. This is part of a collection that made its plate after a photograph rather than a watercolor. Text is French and Latin we have tried to give English name if possible. No text about fish included. Has above water back gound as well. The plate measures approximately 6.5 inches wide by 10.25 inches long. The scan doesn’t even do justice to the beauty of this plate. Condition of plate is as follows Good light foxing near edges but would not show if matted.The words “Bill’s Fine Prints” is a electronic watermark and is not on the original plate. ITEM# 1179
