This is one of the finest collections of Beautiful Fern Prints. Each of the Ferns in this collection of Fern pictures is done from original watercolor drawings. The collection contains wonderful Antique Fern Prints of Fern Plants which are large in size. They are not signed but the artists that drew these Fern Botanical Prints were C.E. Faxon and J. H. Emerton published in Troy New York in 1886. They are large lithographs the size is 9 ˝ inches x 12 ˝ inches.
American Artist Charles Edward Faxon was born in 1845 and died in 1918. Faxon lived in the state of Massachusetts and is best known for his Botany and still life.

James Henry Emerton was an American archeologist. He was born at Salem, Massachusetts, on March 31, 1847, and died in 1930.
From the first he showed much skill in drawing and made sketches of a great variety of natural objects. Of these early drawings there are many in Packard's Guide and forty quarto plates in Watson and Eaton Botany of the Fortieth Parallel published in 1871.
He again engaged in drawing and prepared many of the colored plates in Eaton’s Ferns of North America and also many in Packard's Monograph of the Geometridae.
